Introduction

Summit Social is the name of the project commissioned by County Wicklow Partnership (hereafter referred to as the Commissioning Organisation). Icecream Architecture Limited t/a icecream architecture are under contract by the Commissioning Organisation to deliver Summit Social.

This privacy policy will set out how Summit Social uses the personal data we collect from you through this website.

What information is being collected?

Summit Social collects the following data:

  • Personal identification information when you sign up
    • Name
    • Email
  • Any personal description or biography you submit (optional)
  • Any profile image you submit (optional)
  • Training Journey, i.e the Lessons you have complete
  • Comments you post on the site
  • The date and time you signed up
  • The date and time when you last logged into the site

We use Google Analytics for aggregated, anonymized website traffic analysis, such as what pages you looked at, for how long, and so on. We anonymise your IP address so that it will not be sent to Google. If you would like to access what browsing information we have please contact us using this link. If you would like to block the use of Google Analytics entirely you can install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On. or similar browser extensions such as those provided by DuckDuckGo.

How do we collect your data?

You directly provide Summit Social with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

  • Sign up to the Summit Social site
  • Confirm that you have watched videos on the Lesson pages
  • Leave a comment on the site
  • Login to the site.
  • Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.
  • Send us a message via the Contact page

How will we use your data?

Summit Social collects your data so that we can:

  • Allow you to track your progress through the Lessons
  • Allow you to manage your account details
  • Contact you provide support if you send a message via the Contact page
  • Contact you provide information about changes to or issues with the website
  • Analyse usage of the training program and the website.

In the latter case, all data is anonymised.

How do we store your data?

Summit Social securely stores your data within a password-protected database hosted within data centres in the European Union. Access to the database is restricted to the Summit Social technical team.

Communications

From time to time, Summit Social may need to contact you in case of changes to the website and training programme. This is optional. You can choose to opt-in when signing up to the website, and can amend this choice at any time by editing your account details.

You have the right at any time to stop Summit Social from contacting you. If you choose to leave the site, you can delete your profile and all contact details and other personal identifiable information will be destroyed.

What are your data protection rights?

Summit Social would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

  • The right to access: You have the right to request Summit Social for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
  • The right to rectification: You have the right to request that Summit Social correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request Summit Social corrects the information you believe is incomplete.
  • The right to erasure: You have the right to request that Summit Social erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to restrict processing: You have the right to request that Summit Social restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to object to processing: You have the right to object to Summit Social’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to data portability: You have the right to request that Summit Social transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
